Platform Admin in Canopy
Platform Admin in Canopy is where administrators set model access and the company system prompt, manage sensitive data, and curate the MCP and skill catalogs for their organization.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Platform Admin is where you manage the building blocks your organization uses in ThreoAI: which AI models people can pick, the company system prompt applied across them, sensitive-data handling, the MCP catalog, and the skill catalog. Everything here is scoped to your own company; if you have delegated into a customer, it applies to that customer.
Open Platform Admin from the left navigation in Canopy. The page description reads: “Per-customer model access and system prompt, sensitive data, and the MCP and skill catalogs.”
The tabs
Section titled “The tabs”| Tab | What you manage |

AI Models
Section titled “AI Models”The AI Models tab is a per-company list of every model Synthreo offers, each with an on/off switch. Turning a model off hides it from your users in ThreoAI; turning it on makes it selectable. Models are all on by default.
This tab is access control, not model configuration. You do not add, remove, or configure models here, and there are no vendor, deployment, temperature, or per-model system-message fields; those concepts have been retired. Synthreo manages the underlying models centrally.
Helpful controls on the tab:
- Views - switch between Reasoning, Vision, Table, and Grouped views to find models by capability.
- Per-surface toggles - each model can be enabled independently for Threo and for Pylon.
- Bulk actions - enable, disable, or hide models in bulk.
System Prompt
Section titled “System Prompt”The System Prompt tab holds one company system prompt that applies across all of your enabled models. It replaces the old per-model “system message” field.
The tab’s own guidance says it best: “Give your assistant its own personality and voice. Set its tone and style, add company context, or say how it should address your team. You don’t need to write safety rules or tool instructions; Synthreo handles those for every model.”
Type your prompt in the Company system prompt box and select Save. See System Prompts for guidance on what to write.
Sensitive Data
Section titled “Sensitive Data”The Sensitive Data tab lists your sensitive-data entries (ID, Name, Type, Owner). Use Add or Edit to define an entry, including a credentials sub-form where required. These entries feed how sensitive data is recognized and handled for your organization.
MCP Catalog
Section titled “MCP Catalog”The MCP Catalog tab is your company connector catalog: the MCP servers and REST APIs your organization’s members can install as Connectors in ThreoAI. Each row shows the adapter, kind (MCP Server or REST API), endpoint, auth modes, and state.
Disabling a row leaves existing installs working; only new installs lose access. Use New connector to register an entry through the two-step catalog wizard - see MCP Connector Catalog for the full field-by-field walkthrough with examples.

Skill Catalog
Section titled “Skill Catalog”The Skill Catalog tab is a two-pane view of Global and Customer skills. Select a skill to view its files, then use the actions to Publish, Replace, Enable, Disable, or Delete. A delivery toggle controls whether a skill is Internal only or Shared with all customers.
The Publish dialog takes a file upload (.zip, .skill, or .md), a Scope, a Visibility, and an Always on option. Skills you publish appear to users in the ThreoAI Studio > Skills tab as Synthreo or organization skills, where they can turn them on.

Frequently Asked Questions
Section titled “Frequently Asked Questions”Where did GPT Models and Vendor Keys go? They have been removed. You no longer create models or store vendor credentials in Platform Admin. The AI Models tab now just turns models on or off for your company, and Synthreo manages the models and their credentials centrally.
How do I set a system prompt for my company? On the System Prompt tab. It is a single company prompt applied across all your enabled models. See System Prompts.
What is the difference between Platform Admin and AI Configuration? Platform Admin manages what your organization uses and is available to your administrators. AI Configuration holds global, cross-organization settings (models, providers, regions, global catalogs) and is available to Synthreo root administrators only.
How do I make a skill available to my users? Publish it on the Skill Catalog tab. It then appears in the ThreoAI Studio Skills tab for your organization.
