Builder documentation has moved to Pylon
Builder's documentation is retired and lives on under Pylon - what moved, what still correctly carries the Builder name, and where each page went now.
Where it went
Section titled “Where it went”Builder’s documentation is retired. Everything it covered is now documented under Pylon, which is the same workspace under its current name.
You are not in the wrong place, and nothing was deleted. Every retired
/builder/… address redirects to its Pylon equivalent, so an old bookmark, a
link in a ticket, or a URL pasted into a chat two years ago still lands on the
page you wanted.
The part that trips people up
Section titled “The part that trips people up”Retiring the documentation is not the same as retiring the product. Several things are still called Builder because that is what they are called in the product, and renaming them here would break real work:
| Still called Builder | Where you meet it |
|---|---|
builder-api.synthreo.ai | The live API host. Integrations point at it today |
| Builder API | The name of that API, including in its own documentation |
target_app=builder | A value the token exchange accepts and expects |
| Builder app permission | The checkbox in Canopy that grants access |
| Builder Agents | The resource type on Canopy’s Sharing page |
| ThreoBuilder | Application 1 in Canopy’s own account screens |
If you are reading a page that says Builder in one of those senses, it is current and correct. If you are reading one that describes the workspace, the canvas, or how to build something, that content is under Pylon now.
Where to go instead
Section titled “Where to go instead”| You wanted | Go to |
|---|---|
| The workspace, and how it is laid out | Pylon Overview |
| Building your first automation | Create Your First Agent |
| The node canvas and its workflows | DAGs in Pylon |
| A specific node’s reference | The Node Category Reference lists every node by category |
| Testing and tracing a run | Pylon testing |
| The API | Builder API authentication |
Why it moved
Section titled “Why it moved”The product surface is Pylon. Keeping a Builder section beside it meant two sections describing one workspace, and the pages drifted apart - a reader who found the Builder copy of a page got advice that had stopped being true, with nothing on the page to say so.
One section that is current beats two where you have to guess which is.
